In line with the slogan ‘experiencing digital together’, more than 80 partners will introduce digitalisation to the Swiss population on 3 September 2019. More than 150 free events are being held on various themes on digitalisation at more than 12 locations across Switzerland. The patronage and presence of Ueli Maurer, President of the Swiss Confederation and Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin as well as the support of Federal Councillor Simonetta Sommaruga reinforce the importance of Digital Day. This year, the national event, initiated by digitalswitzerland, is dedicated to the topic of ‘lifelong learning’.
Digital Day was launched in 2017 by digitalswitzerland. Since then, Digital Day has pursued the goal of making digitalisation a tangible experience, highlighting its opportunities and challenges and encouraging an in-depth discussion on this topic. digitalswitzerland is a Swiss-wide, multi-stakeholder initiative created from the shared vision of its over 150 members to strengthen Switzerland’s position as a leading innovation hub. By engaging government, business, academia and the public, we create a platform to lead Switzerland forward.
